How we handle your data
Plainly stated, because that's how we'd want it said to us.
If you leave feedback at a business
Feedback is anonymous unless you choose to share your email or phone so the business can reply. We never store your raw IP address, only a salted one-way hash used to stop abuse. Photos you attach are held privately and safety-screened before the business sees them.
Your feedback belongs to the conversation between you and that business. Businesses can set a retention period after which old feedback is permanently deleted, and can permanently erase individual feedback. Erasure removes the content, photos, and anything derived from it.
If you book a setup
The booking form collects your name, business, email, phone, city, location count, and any notes you add, only so we can call you back and plan your setup. Submitting it does not create an account, and we don't add you to any automated marketing sequence.
Booking requests are kept for up to 12 months and then permanently deleted on a daily schedule. Want yours removed sooner? Email us and we'll delete it.
If you run a business on Gatherly
Your organization's data is isolated to your organization, enforced at the database layer. Owners can export everything (settings, locations, touchpoints, team, feedback with conversations and photos, analytics, audit log) and can permanently erase individual feedback. Billing runs through Stripe; we never see your card number.
When Gatherly can see a workspace
Feedback goes to the business you left it for. Gatherly (the people who run this platform) can open a business's workspace only to provide support, for example when that business asks us for help. Every such access requires a written reason, is time-limited, and is logged.
It is also disclosed: the business can see the date, reason, and duration of every support access in its own Settings. Gatherly support cannot post or edit anything in a workspace, cannot reply to customers as the business, and cannot delete a business's data.
What we don't do
We don't sell data. We don't collect customers' phone numbers for marketing. We don't run third-party ad trackers on feedback pages. AI features produce clearly-labeled summaries derived from your data and never modify it.
